We met Isaac at Washington Square Park and I asked we snap a picture of Emily where I first saw her, cue romantic music and heart eye emojis. SHE IS SO CUTE.
On our first date, Emily and I each got a cupcake and split them. The decision making process was so easy for us as we are soul mates and made for each other. We got one chocolate-y one and one non-chocolatey one, I can’t remember which ones we got as it was a while ago, but we cut them in half and each ate a little of both. It was perfect and our first decision we made together.
We sat on a random stoop and started chatting. Shortly after, I realized what looked like Mathew Broderick was walking down the street towards us. I quietly informed Emily, who’s back was to him, and she slyly turned her head to look. It was him! She confirmed! He awkwardly looked at us and then turned INTO the brownstone we were sitting on. We couldn’t believe it! The door that he entered was under the steps, so we weren’t actually in his way. After that, someone else came along and went to the same door and a woman answered. Emily and I daydreamed it was Sarah Jessica Parker, but we couldn’t be certain. The dog walker also showed up and took their dog out. After some tourists came and asked to take pictures where we were sitting, we realized we should move as we didn’t want to seem like stalkers even though we totally had sat there by happenstance. About 45 minutes later the dog walker returned and turned into the stoop we were sitting on before realizing it was a different one. He made fun of himself and talked to us for a bit. I told him I would take his job if he ever needed a break. He laughed. I’m still waiting for the call.
So we walked Isaac to the stoop and we took some beautiful photos to remember our crazy ending to our date.
